Next spring is my last semester before I graduate and I have two classes left to take. One class is two credits with an optional 3 credit lab (more money), and the other one is four credits. If I don't take the lab, my overall gpa will be a 3.62 if I get A's in the two courses (shouldnt be too hard). If I took the lab too and got an A in it, my overall gpa would be a 3.63. My question is, do you think its worth it to take the lab which costs more money and will require an extra 3 hours of class a week to get a 3.63, or to skip it and settle for a 3.62?

Save your self the pain in the A and don't take the lab if it's not required.
C'mon man!

Be the "Pre-Med" and take it...

If I was a "Pre-med" I would have titled the thread 3.99 vs 4.0?

Actually, then it might almost matter (though not really), lol, just for the sake of being able to say you got a "4.0" in college vs. a "almost a 4.0" ...cept that situation could never occur in the case you've mentioned! lol
lol
In my onion, 3.9 and 4.0 is a big difference though.

Not worth it. Take the 3.62 - not a difference whatsoever.
LOL @ you thinking that making a thread about a 3.62 vs 3.63 is any different than someone who makes a thread about a 3.99 vs a 4.0. HAHAHAHHAHAHIf I was a "Pre-med" I would have titled the thread 3.99 vs 4.0?
You want to know what the main difference is? The person making the latter thread is, for sure, joking. That makes him a "troll". You on the other hand are being serious. That makes you a "Pre-Med"/psycho gunner.
I sure hope you're being a troll. For your sake, your future husband's/wife's sake, your future kid's sake, and for the sake of anyone who comes across you in real life. Man, woman, and beast.

No way is that worth it.
mulligan.
alright granted.
No question.
You must take the class. That 0.01 will make or break your medical application. True story.
ok, while i agree with all of you about this being ridiculous, im still going to take the opposite stance.
If he's not yet accepted to med school, and is somehow guaranteed an A in both the course and the lab, take it. a better gpa is always better.
and I am being serious. although i personally wouldn't take it last semester of college. if you are the pre-med you claim not to be, you'd take it.
OP can't be serious.lol

in my onion, i like some garlic, couscous, peppers, and mushrooms.
also, 0.1 > 0.01

Go for it. If you get the 3.63, Hopkins will be drooling over your application. If you end up with a measly 3.62 you don't even have hope for Podunk State Med School.
yea seriously.Refer to bleargh's avatar.
