Gap year paid research (1 pub, 2 abstracts). Plenty of research in undergrad as well.
ED scribe ~300 hours
~500 hours clinical volunteering and clinical research combined.
~100 hours non-clinical volunteering with leadership experience. Also began a health-related Americorps position recently, not on primary but on most secondaries.

I was complete at around 10 schools last year, put on hold for a lot of them, received no IIs. Probably due to my late app (complete Sept-Oct) and mediocre stats.

This year I’m complete at 30 schools, unfortunately mostly throughout Sept again. WAMC?

What is your sGPA? I guess you're a NY resident since you applied to all SUNY's, did you apply to them last cycle? You should get II's from Downstate/Upstate this time with your improved MCAT score. Add some DO's if you really wanted to get in somewhere this cycle.

You should receive interviews from that list. Add (today) the newer schools including Seton Hall, NOVA MD, Oakland Beaumont, and TCU-UNT

Thanks! Will do.

3.5 sGPA with an upward trend. 3.8-3.9 and Dean's list my junior and senior years but didn't put that on my app because I figured adcoms could tell by looking at my transcript. Yup, NYS resident. Applied to all SUNYs except Stony last year. I think I was put on hold for Upstate, Drexel, and NYMC. There might have been others but I don't remember. Kind of want to stick to MD because I want to continue research.

What would you guys say are the major areas of concern in my candidacy right now? My GPA, not being early, lackluster extracurriculars? I thought I had a chance at some of the mid-tiers on my list with my new MCAT score but I guess I should add more schools within my GPA range.

I think your ECs are fine. The upward trend and improved MCAT score are nice. You should've applied earlier given your reapp status and lower GPAs but what's done is done.

I believe that you probably didn't get accepted the last cycle because of a combo of the late app, short school list, and lower GPAs.

Not meant to be blunt, Dean's Lists or magna/summa cum laude are expected for any applicant with high 3.x GPA. The uptrend is easily seen in AMCAS GPA calculation. Kind of surprise to see Upstate put you on-hold last cycle. Is your undergrad a tough pre-med school?
