So, the title says it all. If this school has given me an interview, does this mean they really want me because they awarded me an interview with my low MCAT? I have great extracurriculars. Am I on an even playing ground with everyone else now or will the interviewers freak out at the interview when they see this score? Are my chances to get in this school higher, same, or lower than those with the average MCAT of 34? Thanks for your insight!

They wouldn't waste their time interviewing you if you didn't seem like a desirable addition to their med school class. It is possible for superb ECs to supercede mediocre numbers. So, be confident and come across at your best on interview day.

At some schools the interviewers do not have access to your entire file (called a closed-file interview). Don't assume they know about your MCAT score. Don't bring it up if not asked.

^ i loveeeee closed file interviews... because the questions theey ask are the quetions i wnat to answer.. i find it awkward answering stuff when i know its on my app, and i know theyve read it... and i feel im just repeating myself... perhaps alittle bit more specifics.. but its nearly unnecessary already

Your stats get you to the interview, after that it's up to your personality. At this point your chances are probably about the same as everyone else that they interview.

yep yep. care to let us know which school ure talking about?
