Hi, friends:

3.7 cGPA,
sGPA 3.7,
MCAT 512

- Shadowing: Three months at a local hospital
- 1 year of original research in the social sciences culminating in a capstone thesis (won my college's prize for best thesis in the department, if that distinction means anything at all)
- 2 years experience working with several patients as a PCA (HHA, HCSS, the acronyms vary) in their homes (no hospital setting experience, unfortunately)
- Volunteered (and was later paid to teach) at a local music school teaching students violin, music theory, and chamber music (leadership role?)
- Volunteered in the neighboring prison systems as a tutor for a year
- Several undergraduate academic awards/scholarships

- NY resident
- Non-URM

Any thoughts on any aspect of this application would be very much appreciated.

Really? OP had 1 year individual research, extensive patient contact experience, and experience in community service. Do you think maybe OP is lacking in stats?
