Hello everyone...
so disappointingly, i got my second set of scores back today to realize i scored a 27...not a 30 as i wanted 🙁...besides the feeling of being blue...i have to now consider my options...i really dont want to take this test again...its very crushing...so here is where i stand right now...
I have a 3.7 overall GPA with a science GPA of 3.76. My first shot at the MCATs gave me a 24Q and this time I got a 27M. I have alread filed my aamcas with little hopes that i will actually hear from a school with the MCAT score that low. So now I am looking at DO. What chances do I have?
EC: community service working with underpriviliged students for two years. Little clinical experience....lots of teaching experience working with kids helping them bring their grades up

Congratulations on raising your MCAT by three points (and beating the statistical odds). Based on numbers alone, your chances at a DO school are excellent, but don't give up on allopathic schools. Your state school might look at you, depending on the rest of your application. Both value clinical experience, so work aggresively at acquiring this so you have something to say at interviews and in update letters.

we are almost stat twins, and with that...i'm sure you'll get interviews at D.O. schools, and you never know with M.D. schools. It seems like a 27 is crap compared to the rising averages, but with the other parts of the app(GPA, EC, LOR, PS), it shouldn't be the only negative factor.

obviously it's below the average of accepted students but it's still within the average. Your chances aren't nil, but from what you've posted it doesn't seem like your EC's aren't incredible either. If you applied to a lot of lower tier MD schools you'd probably get some looks, and I think that you're VERY competitive for a DO school.
