i wasnt sure how to make my school list because my numbers are so all over the place. exams were only 2 months apart. I threw up and had a fever in my first one and didn't void when I should have.

Clinical work - 300 hours
Clinical volunteering - 70 hours
Non-clinical volunteering - 100 hours
40 shadowing

Research is strong with publication

Not URM

White your avg score is 510, and you might get flak for for poor choice making, a 520 is still nothing to sneeze at.

I recommend getting in more non-clinical volunteering, and suggest:
Wash U
U Chicago
NYU
U Penn
Vanderbilt
Columbia
Sinai
Cornell
Northwestern
Case
Harvard
Yale
Stanford
JHU
BU
U VA
U MI
U VM
U WI
U Cincy
Ohio State
U IA
UCSF
Miami
Tulane
Albert Einstein
Emory
USC/Keck
Mayo
Rochester
Dartmouth
Duke
Pitt
Hofstra

Wow, thank you for such a long list. I would've thought every T20 school was gone because of my first MCAT. I can definitely increase non-clinical hours.

Do you think I need more clinical or focus just on non-clinical? Could you recommend any DO schools that might help?

More non-clinical, especially in service to others less fortunate than yourself. You wanna aim high, go high.
Any DO school is fine if you wish to hedge bets. I recommend:
KCU
MUCOM
CCOM
PCOM
DMU
OHCOM
Western (both)
Touro-CA
AZCOM
UNECOM if you're from the Northeast

Don't give up entirely on top 20 as some schools will only look at the most recent MCAT or the highest MCAT. Mayo, Harvard, Columbia and NYU are some that will look at the highest score. U Penn looks at most recent score.

Harvard and Yale, with a 3.7 and 520? Bold. I'm not questioning your advice, but is the publication what really clinches things here?

Hi! Just wondering if you were saying this because you thought the list was too top heavy?

Thanks!

Sorry just had one more question. I've done some volunteering at a homeless shelter/soup kitchen where I live. I as wondering if helping prepare the food would count as non clinical?

My schedule is really busy so I usually volunteer early in the mornings and that's the only position available at that time. I'm asking because I know for clinical volunteering it's best to have direct patient and I didn't know if that was the same for non clinical too.

Thank you!🙂

Of course it's not clinical

I just realized I worded that horribly. What I meant to say is would it be looked upon favorably. Since I'm not in direct contact with those individuals and instead and more working "behind the scenes". Or should I try to find something where I do have direct contact with them?

Service to others less fortunate than yourself is always looked upon favorably. We look for evidence of altruism.

I don't have anything to say about the list; I was more curious as to why @Goro suggested schools like Harvard and Yale. If I was you, I'd go with Goro's list; he's got far more experience in this game than I.
