Ok I have read a lot of posts on here but I have not bothered to post my own until today since I just got my MCAT score back.

My cGPA is 3.73 with an extremely strong upward trend. Started with a 2.7 and 4.0 since.
(I was working 60 hours a week during the 2.7 semester and the C came because I misbubbled a test resulting in a 40)

My MCAT was a 36M (11VR, 12BS, 13PS)

I did a Management and Leadership internship my freshman year and was named Texas Intern of the Year and was given a promotion to be a District Manager in charge of following year interns. (I had 10 personal employees as an intern)

I have worked in three different labs over the course of 2 years. (Two of my letters coming from PIs - one PI from a med school and one PI from my University whom was also a prof)

I have 75+ hours volunteering at local hospital and several random day long service projects

I did a week long mission trip with my church over the first summer (haven't gone back due to summer classes)

I have 30-40 hours of shadowing (3 specialties) (Had 500+ in high school so I didn't find it relevant to stock up in college)

Three strong reference letters and all the regular miscellaneous things every app has such as Dean's list and a Premed Honor Society.

If anyone has any suggestions about where I can improve or what I am majorly lacking in my application it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much for yalls time!

I also forgot the mention that I am a Texas resident and would like to attend medical school in Texas but I will also apply a few places outside of Texas.

Anyone know of any schools I would have a shot at outside of Texas and would recommend?

Thanks again!

I think you should get into a TX school. They are in their own little world down there. I would concentrate on them more, especially if you want to stay in Texas.

Thanks for the input, they kinda are their own small medical cult.. Appreciate the reply

That is what I have been thinking to do, I just got a job beginning in the summer as a full time lab tech.

Also I just wanted to say I freaking love the quote in your signature. Definitely will use that in the future.
