Really would love to hear from @Goro @LizzyM @gyngyn about my current situation. Yes my mcat is balanced but low - is there even a chance for a SUNY hit? If yes, any out of states that would be friendly to me as well? If i apply, it will be THE DAY it opens.

Unless you are a SC resident, I wouldn't bother with U South Carolina. They interview 3% of their OOS applicants and admit ~25% of those they interview from OOS. I don't like those odds. Ditto with UMass. You need to have deep roots in Mass to get any love there (e.g. grew up there, parents live there, etc) and if you are OOS you are out of luck.

Vermont if friendly to OOS applicants and I think that Penn State may be as well if you want to add some state schools is close proximity to the others on your list.
