Hey guys

I just finished a special masters program in physiology with gpa of 3.87. This is a much better improvement from my 3.3 undergrad GPA. However, this is going to be my third time applying and my MCAT is going to expire. What are my chances at california schools (in-state) if I reapply with this GPA and a new MCAT 35? Do they look at my old undergrad GPA as well and consider that as well?

Thanks

The smp was taken at a med school, right? Of so, then the gpa improvement is a huge boost to your application and, at least from what I've heard on sdn, will help make up for the low ugpa. Did you already get a 35 on the mcat? I wouldn't count on one, but you may want to think about other reasons why you didn't get in before, like an overly-ambitious school list or a bad rec letter, since a 32 mcat isn't gonna torpedo an application unless you were counting on WU or something.
