  1. ORM
  2. 3.97cGPA/3.95sGPA
  3. MCAT: Haven’t taken yet, scoring 512 on FL right now.
  4. State: CA
  5. Leadership: Supervisor at campus dining(1000h total time employed, 200h as supervisor); Founding member/leadership role in an investment club
  6. Clinical Volunteering: 300h+ (Also have leadership position)
  7. Non-Clinical Volunteering: 30h (Food Kitchen)
  8. Research: 150h neurobiology lab (elementary lab procedures, techniques. No pubs/projects)
  9. Shadowing Experience: None
Right now, I think I need
  1. Work to a 515+ MCAT Score
  2. Get more research experience, maybe get published
  3. More non-clinical volunteering
  4. Shadowing
  5. Get good letters of recommendation
I am a junior and am unsure if I should take a gap year. I think my stats are pretty good but I fall short on extra circulars. If I'm planning on applying next cycle, what should I do to improve my application and if it may be necessary to take a gap year.

Any help would be great! Thanks.

We don't give odds without an official MCAT score.
My mistake, I think I posted on the wrong forum. I understand the my MCAT score would be a large determining factor but I was more wondering what I need to improve on or look into pursuing if I wanted to apply this upcoming cycle outside of getting a good MCAT score. Thanks

In that case, knowing how your school supports applicants (committee letter/letter packet, interview workshopping, personal statement resources) and networking with students at schools high on your wish list through attending recruitment events would be good.
