Hi,
I have a friend who is applying for DO schools and he is not clear about some of the application process
1) how many recommendation letters does he need? he is out of school for awhile.
2) are there any matching form to go with the transcripts and recommendation letters? where can he get it from?
3) how long is the personal statement? i think i read it somewhere it says 1000words
thanks!

1) Usually 3, but look at each schools website to be sure. Also, check out this link....https://aacomas.aacom.org/
2) No, no matching forms.
3) Your personal statement has to be 500 words, but check out the aacomas website to be sure. I think that there is a link that says "Before you apply" or something like that.

Your friend wants to be a doctor Right? Applications and interviews are long and painful processes.

No offence but S/He should be on here asking these question.

I have a question regarding the AACOMAS process. How long after submitting your app. was it before you were able to log on and check the status? I submitted last night, and decided to see if anything had happened (I know it's too soon, I was just bored). It tells me that my logon and/or password is invalid.

1 composite letter from a premed committee, or 3 letters from a professor; also many schools require a letter from a DO

So, 2-4 total letters.
