3 year dental school programs

Hi everyone!

Do you guys know if any dental schools are offering 3 year DDS programs?
I know UoP is, but which other ones?

hello bigshot,

no other dental schools offer 3 year DDS program except UOP. but even if you attend UOP for 3 years, you pay tuition + fee that is equal to that of other 4 year private dental schools.

tufts used to offer 3 year? I think you are mistaken with some program that has DDS and undergrad combined for 7 years or so.

A few decades ago, many dental schools in the U.S. offered 3 yr DMD/DDS programs in response to a perceived dentist shortage. When the emergency was declared to be over, all dental schools, except for UoP, returned to the 4-year model.

So yes, Tufts did offer a DMD/DDS in 3 years.

Nope it was 3 years of DDS. My mentor did that, but then she is well in her 60s now
