There have been a lot of 3 year MD programs being introduced the last few years especially, and some don't require you to go into family medicine. Would it look bad applying to residency if I got a 3 vs a 4 year MD? Thanks in advance 😀

Depends on what specialty you are applying to. For primary care specialties (except OB/GYN) it probably won’t matter. For surgical specialties it would most likely make a difference as they would want to see how you perform in elective or away surgical rotations.

Most 3 year MDs require you to go into their residency program. The 4th year is mainly dedicated to residency applications so you basically skip this year and just enter residency
This^^^^. What unaffiliated residency program is going to take an application from you after two years??????

Fair, and thank you for the applies! I will only apply to programs that have residency programs I am interested in at their hospital! All the best to you guys 🙂
