I think your g.p.a. is above average and your MCAT is just slightly below average for MD/PhD matriculants. It sounds like you have really good research experience - it takes a lot of work to be the primary author of a publication. I think you have a good chance of getting in this cycle. Good luck!
 
For MD programs, you would be in very good shape.

But for MD/PhD, I think your MCAT is a problem. That is a whole 'nother level of competition, and from what I have read they really look for high MCAT scores, along with the obvious stuff like research background, etc.
