This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
MCAT: 32Q PS=13 VR=9 BS=10

Major: Nuclear Engineering with honors in Bioengineering
cGPA=3.92 sGPA=3.86

ECs:
- 2 years as volunteer firefighter (300-400 hrs + several certifications)
- will have 1 year ~ 100 hrs volunteering at free clinic (receptionist)
- 10 day medical mission trip abroad with surgical team (lots of time in OR)
- no shadowing yet
- 2 summers as nuclear engineering intern at major engineering firm
- already have a job as a non-medical engineer during next year (gap year)
- 1.5 years MRI-related research with undergraduate thesis (poster likely)
- 2 year fraternity president with major leadership experience
- Eagle scout
- student in honors college and engineering honors program
- 5-6 major scholarships (are these worth mentioning?)
- will be married next october (does this affect anything?)

I am more concerned about finding the gaps in my application.
Besides the needed shadowing, you might consider gaining some regular hands-on nonmedical community service to the disadvantaged. I don't see a teaching experience either. You might consider killing three birds with one stone by re-engaging with a local boyscout troop (to make the Eagle more relevant) in a poor school district and becoming a badge teacher. Alternatively, you might teach ESL to adults at a community center, or tutor middle school kids after school in math and science.

Don't forget to list your hobbies, sports, and artistic endeavors.

You may list merit scholarships along with other honors and awards.

Marital status has no impact.

You don't have any weaknesses except for MCAT.

Considering everything else you have accomplished, that's not a weakness.
