Just curious on everyone's ideas on this. I am a Maryland resident (really want to go to UMD) with a 12V/11P/10B, Bio major with some math in there, rec letters from my research lab at Johns Hopkins, went to a small school, St. Mary's College of Maryland. Here is my school list:

Albert Einstein College of Medicine
Boston University School of Medicine
Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine
Columbia University College of P & S
Drexel University College of Medicine
Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
Loma Linda University School of Medicine
Mount Sinai School of Medicine
New York Medical College
New York University
Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine
Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science
Saint Louis University School of Medicine
University of Maryland School of Medicine
University of Michigan Medical School
University of Virginia School of Medicine
Vanderbilt University School of Medicine
Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine
Weill Medical College of Cornell University

I've already been rejected outright by Boston and Vanderbilt. Let me know what you think.

Pretty top heavy, add some more lower tier schools and possibly some DO schools (if it isnt too late) if you want to ensure you don't have to reapply. Schools like U of M are probably just a waste of your money, unfortunately.:luck:

I'd have to agree with theseeker4 here, I have your GPA stats but with a 37Q mcat and I wouldn't feel confident applying to just upper level schools, make sure you have mid-tier and some safety MD schools.

What do you guys think his chances are for UMD? I think because you're instate and have a solid MCAT (a little low for the GPA) you should definitely get an interview.

Honestly it's way too late to apply to more schools I would think. But what about Rosalind Franklin and is UMD out of my league? Last year from my state 725 applied and 250 got accepted...or something like that

You've already verified so if you add more schools it gets sent out instantly, if you bang out your secondary its not too late, especially for a safety school. You asked, we suggested more safety schools.

Well why did you ask about your list of schools now, if it is way too late to add schools? As already stated, it isn't too late to add additional schools if you are quick with the secondaries.

What were the stats of those schools? How many from your state doesn't mean much without the school's numbers, obviously. I don't know which of he schools might be good or you in your list, I just see several ones that are far above your stats, which is why I suggested more reasonable schools should be added.
