3rd Wednesday Rule

Hey everyone,
Just trying to see if anyone has an experience with this already, but I wanted to ask about the "3rd wednesday rule" for USMLE Step 1 score release. I wanted to take the Step 1 next Thursday (6th of October), and according to the rule, I would have gotten my results on Wednesday, October 26th. However, that date just got fully booked at the close by prometric center and the only available next date is Tuesday October 11th. If I take the exam at that date, would I still get the result back on the 26th of October? Thank you in advance. I know that my question might involve a lot of looking back and forth through the calendar 😀

Usually Friday or Saturday is the cut-off, which seems to vary randomly each release from what I've seen.

I took my exam on a Saturday and received my score 3 Wednesdays later, FWIW.

Kind of unrelated, but I don't see it mentioned very frequently:

You should be able to determine by the Monday of the week you expect it to be released if you're going to get your score or not. If you look under "check exam status" and your permit is no longer available for printing, it seems you'll be getting your scores that Wednesday (per one of the release threads I've seen on here, as well as my own experience).

Thank you for input Ty. Hopefully I will see the same status change as you mentioned. My F5 key is going to suffer much in the next 3 weeks 😀
