When is the last day you can take Step 1 if you are planning to apply this coming cycle, and wanting all your scores and everything set by Sept 15?

I believe it takes 4 to 8 weeks to get your scores back, but can anyone give me a better idea when I should take the exam to maximize more study time but still be on time.

Because applications are due in two months brah lmao. You answered your question already in the first post. Step gets you interviews. Ranking is your performance (and some step).

To be safe, I'd take it by the end of July, but could probably do mid-Aug at the latest. I agree that if you're not sure if you are ready, I would just not take it.
