Does it really take the AADSAS 4-8 weeks to send out your application to selected schools? I'm applying to Ohio State and their deadline is Sept. 15. I assumed that after submitting to AADSAS it would only take a day or two to send out.

you can assume whatever you want, but it will take at least 2 weeks for sending out.

It will take at least 4 weeks. In August and September they will have piled up a lot of applications. This year, AADSAS is clueless on how to operate on thing it is meant to do, sending out applications.

They recieved my transcripts and LORs 7/8. I submitted my app 7/9 and it was verified after 1 day. They mailed it out 7/24, and I just recieved my first email from a school stating they recieved my application.

I don't think it will take them more than 3-4 weeks.

My first batch was sent after 12 days. My second batch is scheduled to be sent 4 weeks after I submitted it.

So on my aadsas app. it says I have 2 mailing dates: 7/24/09 and 7/31/09. There have been no changes to the mailing status. What's the deal? Did they get behind and not mail anything on the 24th???

I think the first date is the day the electronic version of your app went out. The second date is the hard copy.

Today that happened to my app. I called AADSAS and they said it's because I edited part of the AADSAS after it was submitted. The second mailing date is when the new info will be sent out. Did you edit your application?

So the application was verified yesterday morning and is scheduled to be sent out on the 31 (less than a week turnaround). I think since they already had my transcript the process was facilitated. Anyways, it looks like I got pretty lucky.

Yes. I called them today as well and got the same response as you. I guess because I edited the DAT scores after they had processed it for the earlier mailing, they had to update the application, hence another mailing date.

Although I am not in the least impressed with AADSAS, at least they have good customer service.
