After 4 days of drukeness and daubachery celebrating Mardi Gras, I finally got home this morning and for ****s and giggles decided to check UCLA's status check page. To my surprise they finally requested an interview. To all of you UCLA/UCSF applicants: I want to try to get an interview at UCSF durring the same week, but only have recieved an invite from UCLA so far. Is UCSF cool with arrangeing interiews under these circumstances? It costs some much fricking money to fly out there! Once will be enough.

And then they accepted me, so forcing their hand was the best thing I ever did 🙂

ucsf was ultra flexible... ucla -- i wouldn't say they aren't flexible, but it's just a pain that you have to send them available dates, and then they reply with the definitive date

anyways, congrats getting the interviews! wow are you a nebraska resident? even more impressive

Let me get this straight. First UCLA sends you a letter with the available interview dates, you pick a few, and then they send you another letter with the date they choose for an interview? Sounds like it'll take a few months. What was the turn around time from when you received your interview invite letter and when you actually interviewed?

UCLA was pretty quick with me. I had an interview with UCI so I called LA and they game me an interview the same week and then sent the necesary info(directions etc) by next day mail. I don't know how long their regular process takes though.
For UCSF, I was in a similar to 007flint, so I called and they told me I wouldn't be granted an interview at this time. So at least its a way to find out the score.
