I'm personally trying to hit the main subjects twice and the low yield ones (anatomy, embryo, histo, neuroscience, and not really lowyield beahvioral) once. Repetition is the key to success. You may not remember what you learned in day 1. But when you come to day 31, and have to review what you read in day 1, the read will be easier and you will retain it really well.
Another viable option is to take the Kaplan IntensPrep 3 week course. Use the first 3 weeks to attend the course and just pay attention and try to learn and understand. Then you have 5 weeks to normally do what everyone else does. But you'll be way better off b/c you will have had a good overview by taking Kaplan.
Good luck brother.
It depends on where you are from. Kaplan has an arrangement w/ our school and they let us vote on what day to start the 3 week lectures then had our class rep email the schedule to us. I don't think Kaplan offers the 3 week prep in all places w/ med schools.vtrain said:Where can u find a schedule of these Kaplan 3-wk Intense Prep Courses? There's LivePrep but thats 6-7 weeks.
Agreed don't listen to all the superstars who can study only 4 weeks and brake 250+. They are of course superstars with great memory. I'm not blessed to be one of them. I'm just an average joe who needs to put in the extra effort to do well. I studied 8 weeks (out of school) 10-12 hours a day/6 days a week. You know yourself, and if you did really well the first 2 years then you might not even need 2 weeks but if you are average guy like me, but still want to do well. Then like this guy above said "if you want it bad enough you'll do it."MDFACC said:I'm personally doing 8 weeks. You can't let these naysayers say its too much Rosenrose.
