In Manhattan, NY, it appears psychiatrist malpractice insurance is nearly 40k/year? Is this accurate?

Don't live in NYC so can't comment on that one. I think the values they show for where I live are around about 20% more than I was quoted. I will say don't look at NYC Ob/Gyn malpractice rates as it may make you physically ill.

I'll just say that's way higher than I pay for occurence based insurance in my area (by like a factor of 3x) and I do my malpractice with MedPro which is one of the more expensive ones out there (but very very financially sound which is why I go with them). So yeah, looks like quite an overestimate.

Not even close. Part time 2.5k. Full time 10k.
