4th Part of the duodenum: Retro or Intra periotoneal?

First Aid says second and third part are only retro.
Firecracker says second third and fourth.
Many online sources provide conflicting data like the above 2.
What do you think?
 
I'm fairly certain that the ligament of Treitz is the point where the small bowell returns from the retro peritoneal space, it also marks the duodenal-jejunal border, so based on that I've always gone with the 2nd-4th parts of the duodenum as retroperitoneal...

👍 this what I've always thought too... but a lil confused bout it now
