Hey , I'm a 4th year non-bio major ( going into my 5th ) . I am planning to take a 5th year and apply to dental school next year. So far i have taken one year of general biology, 4 hours of biology lab , 1 year of general Chemistry, 2 Quarters of Organic Chemistry with lab, 2 Quarters of Math, and no physics.

I also have shadowing experience as well 18 quarter hours of research. My question is if I should take Biochemistry,Molecular,Cell Biology, Physiology, etc. A lot of the dental schools websites I read on recommend it but don't require these courses. My main concern is that I want to do well in my remaining 2 biology labs, one chemistry course, one math, and 3 physics courses and have sufficient time to study for the DAT since my grades are not as competitive.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on whether I should take these extra load of courses but risk not giving myself enough time to study for the DAT? I understand I most likely will need to apply to a Master's program since my science gpa is at a 2.9, but I feel overwhelmed at having to take those classes in addition to my required pre-reqs for dental school and studying for the DAT.
