Sorry for these questions.... I'm new at this.

I'm going into my 4th year now, and I was curious of how I should study for the DAT, and when I should take it?

I finished my biology, chemistry, physics, and english requirements. (For organic chemistry I finished 2/3 quarters, not sure if all 3/3 quarters are required.)

I want to study for the DAT a lot so I can do well on it, and I'm usually the type of person that needs extra study time. Should I take a class or buy the DAT prep books? In terms of studying, I was thinking 4-5 hours a day?

Thanks for reading!

Most of the schools require a full year of ochem. Make sure to do the corresponding labs for physics and ochem. If you want to apply the end of your 4th year, try to take your DAT no later than March 2013. If you need to retake it afterwards, you are required to wait 90 days after your last DAT exam. That way, you can retake it in June when the application cycle opens, and your application would be submitted later than you wanted. I think you will be find studying on your own. If you feel that you have forgotten a lot of the material and need help reviewing it, then take a class. If you think you can study without much help, you don't need a class. 🙂 4-5 hours/day sounds good. Good luck!
