Hi, I previously was an engineer major and got my associates in engineering. In that timeframe, i did my physics 1 and 2, gen chem 1 and 2, and english for prerequisites. I then took a 2-3 years gap break to work as an engineer technician.

Now, im back in school for my BA and decided to switch to biology with an interest in dentistry. I retook gen chem 2 and physics 2 last semester. Im now taking bio and organic chem. By the time i graduate, my prerequisites that i took within my associates degree will be 6ish years old. Is that an issue when apply to dental schools? Any advice ill take please.

Also, im 26. Is it too late? I kind of feel like i am behind but i figured out i like dentistry after working in the industrial side of things then shadowing an oral surgeon. Just sucks im one of the older ones in my class not knowing what i am doing yet.

Welcome to the forums.

Take your transcript to admissions recruiters at the schools closest to you. You don't say you have your bachelor's degree yet, so the question is whether the school wants your coursework to be over 6 years old, or it matters that your BACHELOR'S degree is 6 years old or more.

Late for what? Plenty of nontrads have gotten into dental school. I have admitted applicants older than you.
