So anesthesiology has been a very popular choice at my school next year and they're having trouble fitting everyone in for elective rotations. Do you think this will be too late for getting letters of rec for residency applications? I do want to stay at my school for residency.

It seems weird to do CT before general but my adviser said to avoid doing general in august because i'd be competing with the new PGY-2s while CT is mainly PGY-3 and up who will be more willing to let me do stuff. I know I'm probably worrying too much about this, but would appreciate input.
