5 credit courses

I've been looking at a few community colleges and they are offer the prerequisites as 5 credit courses. I've never seen this before. Their catalogs don't mention anything about quarter hours and they work off 15 week semesters.

Anyone have any insight whether these are in fact semester hours.

Pre-reqs at my CC were also 5 credits (Gen chem 1/2, and Physics 1/2). They were semester hours.
