Everyone keeps saying to just be honest, be yourself, and you'll be fine. But is it really that easy? I'm going crazy here in anticipation for these interviews I have coming up this week. Any advice on how to handle and what to expect? Do I have any reason to be as nervous as I am? Please help, any advice to help aleviate my pre-interview jitters would be greatly appreciated!!

Interviews from 2/9-2/16 in order of occurance:
1. Temple
2. Barry
3. NYCPM
4. Ohio
5. Scholl

I guess I wont be relaxed until I actually get in someplace. Spending $1200 for these interviews and not getting any acceptances would put a sour taste in my mouth :d

Wow so close together, guess you're not gonna have time to see much of each city.
All I know is my hands were ice cold and I was shaking like an epileptic monkey when I went into the interview, but I still got accepted. Just know "why podiatry" and be yourself, preferrably your good side.

depending on who you're seeing at Scholls, it may not even be an interview but a conversation to get to know what you're like. good luck!

Why do you wanna go to all these schools. Common, just go to 2-3 schools. You have good stats, you have read all our experiences in SDN. You will do great. have confidence in your self.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. But I cant help but be nervous. Its human nature isnt it? At least I hope it is. :scared: Actually, Ive been reading the interview feedback page tonight and its super helpful! Thanks guys.

I would recommend pushing Barry back to a few weeks later so that you don't have to waste $$ on airfares. You'll get accepted to one of the other schools first 👍 Or just interview at your top 2-3 choices and push the rest back for now

I really wish I had thought of that before I paid for everything. 😡 I really rushed into setting up and paying for these interviews because I kept thinking the sooner the better (since its getting so late in the app process) I guess I just wanted to make sure Id get in somewhere. I think I placed Barry 1st because I didnt know what to expect for interviews and if I went to the poorer school first, I could use that school as practice for the other better schools Im interviewing at. I dont know if you followed my rambling. But anyways, I guess I'll have to go through with all of them for now. And actually, my Scholl interview isnt until March 6th because thats the first date they had open. I havent yet set travel arrangements for that school.

Now what is done is done. We spend so much money on so many other waste things. So its ok, if you spent $1200 on tickets, etc, Now nothing can be done abt it since u already booked everything. Take this as a vaccation tour. But atleast dont hurry in paying those $1000 security deposits to each and every school you get accepted. First finish all the interviews and then decide. They give you 30 days time to respond. So use that time. $1000 X 5 schools = $5000. Now thats something you really dont wanna do. You cud buy a car with that money when you start your school. So dont hurry and relax. This is the most important thing i learnt from the members of this forum. RELAX AND BE PATIENT👍

Thanks cool_vkb. I totally agree with you. I never intended on rushing to send in deposits bc the only reason I was rushing for the interviews was to gain a spot somewhere before it was too late. But if I got all 5 acceptances, I would definitely take my time with sending in a deposit somewhere. I just wanted the opportunity to be able to CHOOSE which school I wanted to go to. Not just go to School X because that waas the only one I interviewed with and the only one that accepted me. Catch my drift? Anywho, as my trip approaches Ive been getting more and more anxoius, but at the same time more and more excited. I cant wait to actually get started!! The whole thing is so exciting. I just hope I'll find some cool study budies at the school I end up going to. Seeing as how Im from Southern California, Im not going to know anyone in any of the schools Im interviewing at. I just hope the entering class is as excited and nice as I am! 🙂

Good luck am in the same boat as you...I have an interview with Temple on the 12th am just as nervous as you. I came into the game a bit late but am just happy to see that not every seat has been taken up yet. When is your Temple interview?

Thanks. Good luck to you too. My Temple interview is next Friday on the 9th. Im nervous, but talking with alot of these other people on SDN has really really helped. I think we'll both be fine. Good luck!! Is Temple your first choice?

BTW, check out teh Interview Feedback page. It helps tremendously.

Yeah I only applied to two school(temple & NYCPM) like 3 dayz ago...I have already been accepted to DPT school in Phila and I love the phila environment, so yeah Temple is my first. I know i've read like thousands of forums its extremely helpful!

The interviews were not bad at all...a lot easier than what I thought they would be. I only intervied at Ohio and Temple, and they both were not bad (Ohio was more laid back than Temple). The interview at Ohio was quick and I was out by 12:45. Temple's lasted a little longer and had more questions. Good Luck!

Thanks bud, did you hear anything back from either schools as far as acceptance?

When you go for your interview at Ohio, they will more than likely tell you before you leave. Temple meets once a week but you will probably hear a week after your interview. I have not heard back from Temple (they just got my test scores), but I have decided to go to Ohio.

congrats... I will see you there soon
