I've done uworld twice, getting 62% and 77%....I'm doing it a third time getting >90% mostly cos I remember the questions. What do you guys advise for my last 5 weeks, should I do another Qbank or uworld one more time, really focusing on my wrong questions and wrong answer choice explanations (I didn't really read them the first two times)

I'm also using master the boards.

Thanx😀

Have you thought about moving your test up at all? It seems like you are pretty prepared and you don't want to burn yourself out before getting to the big day. I finished my run through U-World twice with less time to spare and ended up moving up my exam.

Sounds like you are in a good place, but consider reading the wrong answer explanations. You may not have the same topic on boards, but you probably will have the same concept, so those extra tidbits would be very helpful for extra points.

Yeh, I think I'm gonna go through uworld one more time, focusing more on the wrong answers, I'm up to 3 blocks a day, when I'm done I'll take an NBME or two and if I'm doing well I'll bring up my test date.

Do NBME 2 or 4 and find out where you really stand as well as UWSA
UW second time or third time score means little and your first time score of 62% is not reassuring. If you scored above 70% or above in your first time UW then you would pass most certainly.
Doing another QBank would be a good idea.

I think a 62% would put you in the pass range regardless, probably even in the 220-230 range

If you look at the graph for the USMLE world percent questions right and step II correlation, a 62% first pass through averages a 240 on the actual exam. Since the OP has gone through the material a few more times, I feel like they are a safe bet to pass with room to spare.

I'm doing the kaplan qbank, this is a serious step down from uworld, I wish I had done this the other way around. First of all the web based internet browser style poor mans fred is so laggy, and some of these questions are absolutely ******ed.

A question had a pt with with stable angina come to the doctors office. Whats the next step, I've done cardiology you do an EKG for anyone with classic signs of chest pain on exertion. Correct answer, exercise stress test. No cardiologist does an exercise stress without a baseline EKG. Explanation for EKG alone being wrong - pt is not in pain right now EKG will most likely be normal....no that is not true. Who are these ******s who write the kaplan questions?

Absolutely do another Q bank. I was at exact same stage as you- getting more than 90s in 2nd round U world, also did MTB, had a little over 4 weeks to go. Got Kaplan and 😱 , I couldn't even finish my first few blocks + my scores were shockingly much lower.
Of course, doing the same q bank over and over again, u get used to the format and almost just fly through it. Even if u don't remember exact questions and answers, you remember the reasoning of the explanations and u don't really have to analyse the question as if it's a fresh one. 2nd and 3rd rounds can be really deceptive, don't bank on it.

Only redo banks to make sure you have mastered all concepts in that bank but don't use the 2nd round scores to judge yourself. Keep yourself challenged by doing fresh questions if possible.I stopped redoing u world qbank and did kaplan instead. not as good as u world but kept me "thinking" till test date.

Also used this http://countdown2ck.blogspot.com/. Not a q bank but it helped to revise. Still awaiting scores. All the best.
