I am an MS2 getting ready to take step 1 in a few months. I have the option of starting my first clerkship in August instead of July. I was wondering if it would be worth it to take an extra 6 weeks for step 1?

Depends on how well you are doing on your current NBME tests/ UW/ UWSA.

and what you are aiming at.

If it's 240+ you want and your are close to that, then go ahead with on schedule.

Good luck!👍

I personally wouldn't do it. Just after 10 days I can't wait to get this test over with lol. But if you aren't where you want to be in terms of test scores, then yeah, I guess you should delay it.
