Interesting is one word for it. Stupid is probably a better one.

yes. Given that she works ~100 hours a week to make $900k, her hourly pay is probably not very different from a hospital employed internist who works 40 hours a week.

I didn't follow the math presented in the video though. It was said in the video that her annual revenue is $5.2M and net profit is $2M. So not sure why her income is stated as $900k only and not $2M.

This popped up in one of the finance threads. Bizarre to watch, nothing about the situation makes sense. She’s primarily telemedicine but runs at over 60% overhead? She paid off a $1.1M mortgage in 4 months after starting a practice/business from scratch? Another $1.1M of profit is missing?

Her website talks about her father founding a private ICU (do those exist?) and then getting laid off during COVID, so maybe it wasn’t up to code and this is the new business venture. I suspect that’s where the money came from/is now going. That may be factoring into the living at home at almost 40 vibe - possible codependency?

~100 hours a week year round is about $175/hr. $360k for an equivalent 40 hour week all year isn’t earth shattering and is well below median for derm.

Maybe there is Cash only stuff that doesnt get reported to IRS but is in her total income?

Her primary source of income, dermatology consults, is not scalable with the current setup; given that she is the only physician.

I got the feeling that the primary purpose of putting out a video like this was to create brand value for herself so she could recruit more physicians into her practice. And also help attract more patients
