I have one page single spaced plus two lines and it is 3900 characters.

it depends on the font and font size you use. So your best bet is to just keep checking on MSWORD's word count to see how many characters you have.

I used Arial font 10 and 5300 characters was exactly a page.

Write it out on Word to keep track of your words. Then paste it into notepad,save as text only, then paste it into the online aplication. Otherwise, your PS will cut off ~50-100 words due to invisible Word formatting that somehow makes extra characters. I learned this the hard way...
