What language would you consider most useful in the physical therapist setting? I will be applying to 3+3 programs next year, and hope to add another language. I currently speak Russian, Polish, English and some Spanish. I hope to continue taking Spanish, but I am interested another language, hopefully one prevalent in the Tri-State Area.

Tl;dr What foreign language would you take to have an edge in the PT industry (however small)?

Zdrasvuitje and dzien dobry! I had 4 years of Russian a long time ago, and one of my colleagues was Polish.

I'd say Chinese would be a useful language to know, and not only for PT.

SPANISH SPANISH SPANISH, esp for FL, CA, NY, TX

your other languages are a plus, plus spanish is def the winner

Based on what I've experienced, I'd say Spanish and Polish are the most common languages. For you, definitely learn more Spanish, and if you want to add another language, I'd pick Chinese or Korean. You're lucky that you know so many languages though! It'll help immensely because you won't have to wait for a PT or aide who knows the language or use a translator/language line.
