Starting a thread seems to be the fastest way to get some answers. I am curious and just want some opinions on where I stand in the application process. I've heard two different sides-- that a 19 is not competitive and the other, that a 19 is competitive. Please feel free to give me some feedback!

I think it is competitive since your GPA is 4.0. If you had a much lower GPA I might be worried but if your extracurriculars and shadowing are good you have a good chance.

Thank you, Junebug1665! Really encouraging to hear that. I heard from many people that 19 is cutting it close and that it was a really border-line score.

These are good scores! Not to worry you, because I am sure you will have your choice of schools, but your monster GPA isn't really representative of your DAT score, that's the only issue here. People only say it's boarder-line because at exactly a 19 you put yourself at the exact DAT average of a student who matriculates, so you can see how there is no wiggle room?

Regardless, well done, you'll be fine! Good luck this cycle!

I see your point, dentaldivaRDH. I have never been a great standardized test taker-- I usually score average. But I do really well in classes. Something I've never understood. I just hope that what i have is enough.

for a person with a 4.0, the only thing that should have been higher is GC..everything else looks good, since apparently no one really cares about QR.
