2 years of fitness sales experience here: Not everyone has the same body compositions, finances, or even fitness goals, so pushing what subjectively worked with you doesn't carry a lot of weight for people who may have chronic conditions like joint issues, obesity, etc.
Nutrition has twice as much to do with weight loss than painful workouts do (no beer, cheese, simple carbs, etc). The most important goal is setting a reasonable goal in a reasonable time frame , creating a proven plan with the help of internet resources or a trainer, and STICK WITH IT.
A great starting point to get FREE info and motivation for this would be www.reddit.com/r/fitness
Toytles: I would be sleeping on the couch for so long if I pulled that number.(She's actually in great shape and works out with me regularly, so it's not really an issue). She can't cook worth crap though.
I totally agree. I made a lifestyle change that is realistic. I have cut my calories down to 400 per day, which is a bowl of ice cream. With exercise and the calorie defecit, I hope to lose about 100lbs in 6 weeks. Then I will be ripped and way healthy. I weighed myself this morning, didn't eat tofay and weighed myself tonight and am down 2 lbs. Woohoo. Gonna be way sexy.
