Since when was looking after your own health selfish?

Besides, they already have a vaccine for the swine flu.
 
would you skip a semester to avoid the regular flu? there's your answer right there.
 
Get the flu shots, go to work, write about the ethical dilemma/difficult situation when you prepare your secondary applications.

And as someone who isn't associated with a hospital you can get in in a month (maybe). Only the regular flu vaccine is out now. I think it might make sense to avoid clinic until then. You're not missing a semester, you're just missing the gap until the flu vaccine comes out.

We've had two cases at my school so for. It's apparently pretty brutal.
 
Like others have said just be sure to get the h1n1 vaccine when it's available but I don't think you'd necessarily have to stop, especially if you wouldn't stop because the regular seasonal flu.

I'm on pediatrics right now and see several cases of flu A every day, all of which are most likely H1N1 because that's what is going around now and it's been fairly mild and no one in the office has come down with it yet, but I have been extremely careful about washing my hands before and after every time I go in a room. So just make sure you are really being careful with hand washing and other precautions.
