Hello everyone!
Finally i took the DAT last saturday and my life's become alot better.
Relaxed and you know...
About the test... Overall, the actual test wasn't that bad.
Here is how it went.
PAT 21
QA 20
RC 14 👎 (big time) maybe i was like 😴 during the test...
BIO 18
GC 20
OC 20
TS 19
AA 19
Well... i know it's around average and not that great but not too bad...
As you can see, 14 really sticks out and i'm really concerned about it...
I heard some schools have cut-off or weigh more on RC section.
If you know anything about that, please share with me. please!!!
and what are those schools?
what do you guys think my chances are?
I already submitted all my applications and my GPA is 3.68 w/ 3.55 science.
Thank you guys for your comment and advice...
If you guys want to know how my test was...
PAT : A lot easier than Achiever or even Top score. I thought I did alot better than this but what can i do? Angle was tough as everyone says but if you study w/ achiever you should be fine. Hole punching was little bit tricky.
Holes were smaller and they were on the folding line.
QA : More than half were word problems. If they are pretty long, just skip and come back. That will save your time.
RC : The passages weren't that long... same as practice tests.
but questions were different. A LOT OF INFERENCE questions like which will be coming after this... and more...
BIO : Hardest one among science! Questions were all over the area. You just have to know everything related to biology. I had 3~4 graph questions including evolution tree.
GC : Conceptual and few calculations.
OC : Plain... I would say the easist among science but I don't even know what i missed. if you know general reactions and products you should be fine... not very complecated ones on the test. I had 3 NMR related qustions. Kinda strange.
One thing I found out was simple memorization does not work for science section. I used Kaplan b.book, Barron's, Top score, Achiever and they still have a lot of simple memorization questions but not on the real test.
there were only few. To get answers, I had to think with those memorized info. Hope it helps and good luck to you all...
