7 days since official transcript mailed... not yet received

Hey everyone,

My school mailed my transcript a week ago today (7 days), however, it has not yet been received by AADSAS.

My school is located in northeast PA, so why is it taking so long to get to MA?

Also, I called AADSAS yesterday and they confirmed that my transcript has not been received. (I though maybe the transcript was received, and they just forgot to post it online. Unfortunately, I was wrong.)

Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Am I just over concerned, or are my concerns valid? (I'm considering contacting the postal services to insure that the mail wasn't lost.)

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Mine took 10 days from California. And the tracking said it was received in 6 days... it just did not get marked as received for four more days.

I don't think you should worry until like... Monday afternoon.

I transferred from a school in california to a school in new york. I sent out the request to my current school a day before I sent one to my previous school in California, but the California transcript got to aadsas two days earlier. I know that doesn't answer your question but I think it is all variable based on the way that your school's registrar's office works. Distance doesn't seem to be a good indicator for when your transcript reaches. Give it a few more days.

Edit: My Ny one took 9 days btw

I don't think the AADSAS folks collect transcripts from their PO box daily, hence the delay. It can also take them a while to process all of the transcripts coming in, since the application cycle just opened not long ago. I would wait until next Wednesday or so to see if it was received. If not, contact them.
