Hey guys! I wanted to get some feedback from people to see what are my chances of getting into a DO medical school with a 3.6 GPA and 7 Ws on my transcript? I still haven’t taken the MCAT yet, but will be soon.

Thanks in advance!

No big. I had more than you. It came up a couple times and I explained that I was immature and finally realized that that behavior wouldn’t get me anywhere. If it’s brought up at all, what they want to see is that you take responsibility for it and don’t blame it on external factors.

This is an impossible question to answer without knowing your sGPA, MCAT score, and the strength of your clinical experience/exposure. If these things are in the competitive range for DO school, then the W's won't hold you back too much. I had several W's as well and still received 5 DO interview invites. However, once you get an invite, you should be prepared to discuss this during your interview.

Are they spread throughout your college career, or all in one block, or what? Need more info. Also, why did you take so many Ws?
I had to drop because I was in an abusive relationship and had to leave.

I'm sorry to hear this. I hope you are well and safe now. If you are asked about the Ws in an interview, be honest and explain that you've (hopefully) received help, are in a better place now, and this won't be an issue during medical school. Everyone goes through tough periods in life. Most interviewers will understand. Good luck!

I think i has more than that and it never came up in an interview, there's definitely more important things to worry about app wise. Glad you are in a better spot now
