75 mg clopidogrel at 9 am + 225 mg clopidogrel at 3 pm , will it as effective as 300mg load dose?

friend, i need help..if a patient had a 75 mg dose of clopidogrel in 9 am and then at 3 pm he comes to ER because he has an acute stroke..and the physician intended to give loading dose of clopidogrel..so, is it true that giving another 225 mg will give just the same effect as giving 300 mg Clopidogrel at once? please help..thx u 🙂

So was the dude already on a once daily regimen? If so, he'd already be "loaded up". If he's been on the drug for more than a week or so, it would be pointless to give him a bolus. He's already at steady state.
 
Sounds like a switch to another agent would be more beneficial than more of the agent he was taking when he had the event.
