8/12 Mailing Date

So I have received no interviews as of yet, and I wanted to see where others in my mailing group stand. I just started seeing mailing dates close to this crop up on other threads.

I mailed 8/12 and finished all supplemental apps between that date and 9/1.
It's shockingly hard to distract myself from thinking about this application!

You are not alone, I have no interviews yet either. my mailing date was 8/05 but I was not done with the secondaries untill end of Aug. I m still waiting for app complete emails 🙂

Yeah... I sorta regret my late DAT date. I mean it wasn't that bad and I rescheduled it twice. I'm sure we will be fine though. Good luck!

Maybe. 8/5 applicants seem to be getting interviews now. I'm hopeful 👍

I got done with my secondaries end of august too. Is our application really late? Since some people mention that you need to have stellar scores if applying late.

As I understand it, we aren't early, but we also aren't particularly late. There are some people here who seem to feel differently though.

I'm personally a little peeved at myself b/c my top picks are Pacific and Michigan. Both schools seem to favor the early birds. You should ask around to see if your specific schools favor early apps. If they all do, it might not be to late to add a couple late-app friendly schools.

I guess if we don't get in this cycle we will have to submit on day one next cycle!

I guess I should do a bit of an update too.

I heard back from case on Aug 30th. Unfortunately I was put on Hold awaiting my fall transcripts.

I was also rejected by Nova at about the same time. 🙁

No word anywhere else. Not the best start, but what are ya gonna do?

This thread makes me nervous, since my earliest mailing date was 8/19 but I wasn't totally, entirely complete until 9/2 (when my dentist letter was submitted).

Still waiting on even an application complete notification from a lot of schools. 🙁 One interview from Case so far. They were unusually fast.

No, I didnt get any interviews, The very first time (2008) I only wasted my money and sent my AADSAS but I did terrible on my DAT so I didnt bother going thru with it, except Detroit Mercy who called me and asked if I was still inetersted in march and I got excited cause I thought they want to give me an interview, so that was the only place I applied. The Second time around I retook DAT and improved my scores except QR:14
Anyways... I decided to make a change to the whole application: I attended SFSU post-bac for a year, retook DAT again in July and wrote a new personal statement and updated my letters of rec,
REALLY third time should be the charm, I m waiting for it.

Depends on the school. Each is different

Ok, now that I've seen a few September mail-outs get interviews I'm officially getting concerned.

I try not to visit the acceptance/rejection thread, seeing people with 7 or 8 interviews is really disheartening. I subscribed to netflix just now, I think I will indulge myself in movies for the next week n half before school starts. I'm missing 26 units worth of pre req's, if I don't get in this year (app'd to 30 schools) then it's not meant to be, just gotta come back stronger next year. I've already accepted the worst case scenario, and not anticipating any calls, if they do come, it'll be a pleasant surprise instead!

a UoP graduated dentist told me DAT is 75% of the admission criterion for UoP. It seems like they're taking uber stat applicants and applicants that are associated w/ the school at the moment. your DAT is beast, it's no problem.

If this was directed at my original post, I have one interview. We'll see if I manage another or if I'll have all my eggs in one basket. I would love to get an interview at any of the three you mentioned! I'm worried about an Oct invite, I'm assuming everyone will be setting post-dec interviews by then.
