As someone starting med school soon, I'm actually finding those threads very helpful! And I like the 'easy target' format. For me, that's part of what makes it so helpful. I guess for others it's a pain. I know the format you chose was intended to be helpful, and not harmful. Yet once again the saying holds true: the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I also have that song going through my head every time I see your posts! It takes my old brain back to high school too

Im sure just for posting on this thread people will label me as getting too "defensive" about things but hey hasnt stopped me so far.

Isnt this forum labeled Allopathic for allopathic medical students and isnt it on the STUDENTDOCTOR network so explain to me why threads about first-year medical books is irrelevant or "spam" as you put it. Now I know what your reply will be...well why didn't I post one thread with the title First
Year Medical Books or something.....
1)Simple Ive seen threads like that die and wither without any posts 2)By putting different subjects in different threads if someone sees a thread for a particular subject they can just post it there where it will be noticed (and appreciated)

If my threads were so bad then why haven't the moderators removed them or posted negatively on them. Because they are useful to many people on this forum.

If you want to talk about irrelevant threads why not talk about people who post assinine things such as "MD vs DO", "Why I hate school X", "Abortions Kills/Should be legal", and so on through the many irrelevant and controversial topics that I have to wade through to get to some useful information such as "Best Biochemistry Texts and Why"

Most of the topics in the bazillion threads you started were also discussed a long time ago. Why not re-post to an older thread to resurrect it, or just get your information from that thread in the first place?

That's what SEARCH is for -- the SEARCH function is easy to use and allows you to access a huge amount of information.
