I figured it'd be nice for those in the same batches to follow along to see who's gotten invited to what schools per batch. I'm part of the 8th batch, so, I thought I'd create this thread so others in this batch can follow along. :]

If you were part of the 8th batch (submitted AADSAS 08/17/2012), have any schools contacted you for invites? [:

I was in 8th batch, and only my state school (Memphis) has contacted me for an interview. I believe this is because they don't require LOE. My school messed up my pre-professional committee letter by accidentally sending it under someone else's app. D:

Wow!~ Congratulations everyone! I'm very jealous! Looks like I've only been hearing about NOVA sending to 8th batchers.. I wonder if any others have gone out yet?

Got an interview invite from Columbia today! It's my first one so I'm excited!

Sure. oGPA and sGPA were both 3.2x.
AA/TS/PAT/RC were 26/26/23/27. If you wanna know anything else just let me know.

Yesterday morning! As we were setting up my interview date, I asked the woman on the phone how they were doing with their pre-December interview spots. She said they had a lot of dates left. They are currently filling October, and I booked for Friday October 12th. So, there's plenty of spaces left with NYU if anyone is hoping to get a pre-December invite from them!

I have an interview for NYU on September 19th and for UMDNJ on October 12th!

Woohoo, hopefully I hear from NYU soon too. Haha, just like how you got an interview from Nova and then I got one the next day. 🙂

BTW, do they call you for an interview OR send an invite by email?? Just wondering if I should be expecting a random call or not (if i do get an interview).

I got mine via email and then had to call to schedule the interview. Good luck!

I hope you guys don't mind that I am posting your stats at the top as well~ This includes DAT/GPA and if you were IN-STATE/OOS.

This way some of us can see how we compare to those who have already gotten invited in anticipation for our own invites. I didn't include the stats of those who didn't openly post it in this thread. I could be creepy and try to search it somewhere else in the forum but... I thought that was a little too much and creepy... If you don't mind sharing your stats with us, then please feel free when you do get the invites!!! [:

I also have 500+ hrs of being a dental assistant intern / shadowing. I think that was a major factor that helped me especially because of my low gpa. Just thought I'd share with you guys. 🙂

Love this thread. I'm sure I can speak on behalf of us all in thinking that we are "too late". 8th batchers keep out heads up! Good things to come for us all. Got my first interview invite today, practically rocked me off my chair in class today- UMDNJ ! Was not expecting this, but couldn't be more excited to know my application hasn't been pushed to the side quite yet 🙂

Retaking the DAT in early October (another reason I've had doubts...).

Sgpa: 3.59 cumulative:3.7
AA:19 TS:21 PAT:17

We can do it! Congrats to all who have heard good news so far, and chin up to those who have good news to come.

Congrats!! Just curious, but are you still going to retake the DAT now that you have an interview? I have similar scores to you and I've also thought about retaking it but I'm not sure yet.

Ah, I'm actually studying right now. .... Kill me. I'm scheduled to take it October 11th . If I get another one before that I may reconsider... But for now, yes. It's a tough call. I think my PAT is going to hurt me until I bring up that score.... It's so late in the game though so I wonder how worth it it will be. What are your plans?

I have the same PAT as you! Idk if it will hurt me that much in the long run. NYU is my #1 choice and hopefully I'll be able to sell myself to them in the interview, so for now I don't think I'll retake the DAT. If asked why, I think I'll just say that i don't think the DAT reflects my abilities, and that I didn't retake because I wanted to focus on the other great parts of my application instead of just one exam.
