So I was planning on getting an AA of 21 on the DAT, but blah, god wasn't with me and pianoed me into oblivion. English is my 2nd out of 3 languages and isn't my strong point, but I thought the two previous passages were alright (forgot what they were lol) but as i pressed next, i see Piano and i went urgh!

So w/e here are my scores:
PAT: 24
QR: 18 (ugh.... i've been getting 21's on topscore)
RC: 17 (omfg.... been getting 21-22's on topscore)
Bio: 22
GC: 22
Orgo: 20 (very disappointed, i actually thought i aced this section)
TS: 21
AA: 20 (bleh) and my GPA is 3.57 overall forgot science GPA but its about 3.3-3.4

a brief breakdown:

PAT: 99.0 percentile here, probably my best section and the one i felt most confident with going into the test. i score 23-24's consistently on CDP and topscore, and 20-21's on achiever. But the real thing is so easy its not even funny, finished with 15 minutes to spare
(used CDP, topscore ,achiever)

QR: i thought i was guaranteed a minimum of 20 here, but guess i thought wrong. time was a big factor, i used the strategy where i mark word problems and choose a random answer for them and do the easy calculation problems first. yea that usually works like on topscore, except on this piece of crap they gave me soooooo many word problems. so i marked and skipped a crapload and came back to them afterwards.... Also having a stomach here didnt help. DEFINITELY harder than topscore tho
(used topscore, destroyer)

RC: nothing i feel like saying here, i've been doing fine on topscore with my 21's but then the piano came. personally the passage wasn't hard itself, maybe it was the questions, but i dunno. i just effed up here. also, the guy next to me that was shaking his leg (thus the floor) and sighing distracted me a little lol
(used Kaplan BB, topscore, achiever)

Bio: I thought i was going to get owned here after marking about 15 questions, but it turned out alright with some educated guessing and elimination. yea i got a weird picture problem too. but ill take a 95 percentile. took me about 30 minutes, which is what i had in mind. But do mind that things were random as crap and all over the places, plus they didn't even test me on the systems or phylums which i studied so much for...
(used Kaplan BB, topscore, achiever, destroyer, cliff's ap)

GChem: Not hard at all like what i thought it would be. took about 30 minutes, very straight forward except for 1 which i had no idea what to do and 2 which i had to do educated guessed. but chad will help you tons here
(used Kaplan BB, topscore, achiever, chad's vids)

OChem: My most confident science section before going to the test, did destroyer twice and memorized the road maps. I sped through this portion and it only took me 15 minutes. (so i would 15 minutes left to check bio) didnt mark a single problem... but i guess i went a little bit TOO fast and made silly mistakes. there were no problems that tripped me or anything with the exception of 2 NMR's which i thought i got right anyways. but ummmm VERY disappointed here.....
(used Kaplan BB, topscore, achiever, chad's vid, destroyer)

Sooo that's about it. I've studied for about 1.5 months which i thought was pretty short. but people have done better in less time so i have no excuse. I slept early the day before but it was very hard for me to fall asleep but i didnt think it influenced me that much.

overall, satisfied with my score but thought that i couldve done a little better to reach that 21. i am not applying this cycle soooo i dunno, does anyone have any advices regarding on whether i should retake for a higher RC score? i mean even if they give me the piano again i've read it already lol

yea and sorry bout the punctuation and what not, dont feel like doing that much

BLAH my 21 >.< so far away now haha

PS: oh yea my aa on 3 achiever tests were (18/17/18) and topscore (20/22/24) <--- didnt reflect this at all!

i dunno... say someone got a 22 and its a 95% and someone with with a 22 and its a 90%, meaning that the difficulties are different right? i dunno if they are going to base these things solely on the scores if its like that.

Great score! I am not sure but I have heard that ADCOM don't really look at the percentile...

Nice job, honestly, I think you are fine. If your application is in already for this cycle just wait it out and see if you hear anything back. Your sciences and pat are awesome and I think you definitely have a good shot for some interviews.

i wasnt planning on applying this cycle due to me not having my LORs rdy even but i guess i'll settle with this for now

yeah they don't really look at percentiles because the test is supposed to be standardized. so a score is a score is a score.
