Well, after over 9 weeks, I've finally been verified by AMCAS. Now I know that many others out there have waited longer, but I'm still happy about it, so please don't try to bring me down with your complaints (I'm just kidding, everyone...).

Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for the schools to get verified applications?

it's been a month now and 5-6 out of 16 amcas schools still haven't gotten my app.

Since we all know little about the AMCAS process, I would suggest calling one of their highly trained "specialists". You will be trembling in anticipation as you listen to Mariah Carey for 59.01 minutes on hold. The wait, however, will seem like seconds, as you feel honored to be able to actually speak to people with such high caliber communication skills. They will give you an exact time frame and a detailed explanation, along with an apology, of why the process is taking "longer than usual". 😉

Yeah, what's up with that Mariah Carey music? If AMCAS is going to have me on hold for 2 hours just to tell me later that they can't find any of my transcripts, they can at least play a nice variety of music. 😀 😀
