Dude.. go into medicine or physical therapy. Sports injuries are primarily orthopedic or muscular and that medication therapy consists of opioids and corticosteroids. Maybe a few more,nothing nearly as complex as geriatric, pediatric, or pretty much any other pharmacy practice. Seriously, retail pharmacy takes more clinical knowledge than sports injuries. There is a reason clinical pharmacists don't usually do orthopedic rotations, hospitals don't like to squander money on something useless.

Pain meds, surgery, pain meds, therapy.

Pharmacy is not at all good for a sports niche.
 
There is always a place for someone in sports medicine. Someone has to dispense the drugs to the clinics! Show your interest in it, and your professors will help you make it happen. Good luck! Sounds interesting.
