Congrats!!!!! I am waiting for an interview from UOP .. I got offer made from others, though ^^

I keep reposting this where applicable haha

My AADSAS updated somewhere around 7:30AM Pacific Time. I got into UOP, Western, and Tufts on AADSAS, NYU emailed me at 6:31AM Eastern Time. YAY!!!!

And UCLA just called!!!! Mission accomplished 🙂

Between Tufts and NYU which school are you leaning towards koreano?

UoP, NYU and Tufts here as well... Sadly Im gonna have to turn down UoP since 3 yr HPSP is no longer available (navy and army) 🙁

Yes it is!! They just approved HPSP for UoP students!! Talk to a recruiter ASAP!

Which branch did you speak to? Because both my army and navy recruiters told me that all of their 3 yr scholarships have been given out already.

And how did anyone receive HPSP already when acceptance notifications just came out?

What?! I have a Navy recruiter I've been working with since June. We were at the same UoP interview, but I didn't like that you brought up sdn when we were there because I didn't want to talk about it, so I didn't tell you lol. Anyways, that day the head of Navy dentistry was there pretty much hashing out a deal with UoP. My recruiter emailed me a few days later saying they approved a 3 year scholarship for UoP. They will do the same thing that they've been doing for the other schools, but with a 3 year commitment when you're done. There is an option for a $20,000 signing bonus, but if you take it, you must serve 4 years afterward.

They can't have given out HPSP for this cycle because as of this year, you need a letter of acceptance from a dental school in order to apply.

Hmm. Guess they never sent out that memo to other recruiters around the nation because my recruiter has no idea of it and Ive been talking to mine since late june. Oh well, I pretty much made up my mind to attend a four yr school here anyways so it doesnt matter. Gluck with your endeavors in dental schools.
