If your transcript says you earned an A, that's what you have. Since your institution doesn't grant A+, you will not be able to state you have them (unless your transcript states an A+).My school's grade scale only go up to 4.0/A.
Do I need to choose A+ or A for the classes I got A in? (Coursework section..about ADEA AADSAS grade).
4.0 is the highest you can earn. Since your transcript has no "proof" that you did earn an A+.Yeah, I'd like to know as well. My school grades with +/- except they don't give out an A+. A perfect score in a class will still be just an A. How would we enter this in AADSAS?
I'm guessing since you have to enter everything as it is on your transcript, we're just screwed, right? Which is too bad because having a coupld 4.3's adding into your GPA would sure help a lot.
An A+ is usually given to the top 1 or 2 percent of the class, so I'm sure you can't just put an A+ for all your As. But ss far as I know, A+ just counts as 4.0 in college. It's not like in high school anymore where you can have a GPA higher than 4.0. So you don't have much to worry about. Your GPA will still be the same, just if they look at the breakdown of courses, some one with A+ might look better, but I'm sure it's not a big deal. At least in the UC system, I have quite a few, but they all count as 4.0. Maybe AAdSAS will calculated it differently, but I doubt it. Although I'd love that 🙂
Some schools actually do go over the 4.0 by giving out A+'s, which is kind of ridiculous...but AADSAS understands that many schools have different grading systems, and that's why they standardize all the GPAs by requiring us to convert our grades to special ADEA AADSAS grades...

So for courses that I got A+, is AADSAS gonna use my schools' policy of 4.0 or they're gonna have their own policy of 4.3??
A- counts as 3.7, why shouldn't A+ count as 4.3? ;p
what a silly concept, A+'s. And an A- being a 3.7? That's outrageous!
Yeah...
A+ = 4.33333333333333333333333333333333
A = 4.0
B+ = 3.666666666666666666666666666666666
B = 3.0
B- = 2 2/3
C+ = 2 1/3
C = 2
C- = 1 2/3
etc.

Thanks guys. I have one more question. Is ski trip class (went to colorado for couple days to take lessons) considered as Distance Learning/Online Course?
Or should I just choose N/A for Special classification?
An AADSAS converted A+ is a 4.3 in the +/- system... which is why my GPA in the AADSAS +/- system (where A+ = 4.3) is 0.6 higher than my transcript (where A+ = 4.0).
That is probably why they also have GPA without +/-
What about schools that don't have A+ at all? Like its not that we have A+=4.00, there is just no such thing as A+ ...its only A, A-, B+, B, B-, etc...so how is there any way my school can match up with other schools where you can actually have A+'s on your transcript? Still seems unfair, because I know I've earned high enough A's to be considered A+ by other colleges' standards!
It seems only fair to standardize the grades especially when schools like mine has a more strict GPA scale than some of what I'm seeing here. Come on B+ 3.6? seriously? That's basically an A- in my school.

A lot of schools do not give A+. If the A+ to an A makes that big of a difference in your GPA, your application has some significant pitfalls. In fact, some schools have strictly A/B/C/D/F grading with no +/- grading.What about schools that don't have A+ at all? Alright everyone I get it already, geesh! It doesn't make that much of a difference, my bad, I'm sorry, whoops! And I am perfectly happy with my GPA, I just wanted to be sure I'm on the same level playing field as everyone else!

Depends if you went to an Ivy institution (name brand cereal) or a run-of-the-mill undergraduate (bagged cereal).![]()
