Hello dentists, I need help 🙂 🙂
I have a clinical question. A patient complaining of headache came to the dental clinic referred by a GP. He had generalized chronic periodontits. A decision was made to extract his lower second molar which was badly decayed, had grade 2 mobility and irreversible pulpitis. Note that the tooth wasnt tender. During the extraction the patient complained of pain pointing to the submandibular lymph node area. 🙁 What causes such pain during the extraction? Note that his lymph nodes were tender and palpable. Thanks a lot , any help will be appreciated. 🙂
